Smoking a Pork Loin

Pregame Plan: Preheat smoker to 325 degrees F. Remove the fat cap on the pork loin (See the video below for a trick!). I use apple wood for smoking pork products.

Step 1: Rub the loin with extra virgin olive oil. Season the pork loin on all sides with a dry rub. Our Ohio Pork Rub is for sale on our webpage along with several of our other Red Beard Seasoning brand products.

Step 2: Place the pork loin directly on the rack in the smoker and cook over indirect heat. Every hour, spritz with apple juice.

Step 3: Cook to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Once finished, let rest for 15-20 minutes.
